Research

We focus on both fundamental and applied research in image communication and understanding. The fundamental research are conducted in the domains of image representation, 3D reconstruction, object tracking, and scene understanding using visual data. Our research in these directions have allowed us to use vision-based technology for diverse applications such as, image enhancement/compression, buildings and city modeling, and autonomous driving.
